Finnrick: How Its Peptide Vendor Ratings Work

What Finnrick is

Finnrick describes itself as independent peptide testing. Its company page puts the mission in one line: "Finnrick makes peptide markets safer through independent testing." It names two founders and a policy lead, and says it does not sell peptides, recommend vendors or accept payment to alter ratings.

Finnrick is not a lab. It sends samples to partner labs. On Nov 6, 2026 it named five: Krause Analytical, BTLabs, Ichor Life Sciences, Harrens Lab and PharmLabs. Its methodology page does not say which lab tested which sample.

Where the samples come from

• Community testing. Individuals can send a vial for free. Full vial details are required and results are public.
• Receipts. Buyers can forward a vendor receipt to Finnrick. It says forwarding alone does not place an order or charge you.
• Paid tests. A Standard test listed at $249 with a two-week turnaround, or a build-your-own test from $69.

Vendor-submitted samples are labelled as such, and Finnrick says vendor-supplied COAs do not drive its rankings. That is the main difference from a vendor's own COA page: most samples were bought like any other order.

How a rating is calculated

Each sample is scored on up to five checks:

• Identity: the expected compound is present. A failed identity fails the sample.
• Purity: by HPLC, with pass marks between 98% and 99.8% depending on the standard.
• Quantity: fill compared with the label, within ±35% down to ±15% depending on the standard. Blends are not scored on this.
• Labeling: whether the sample can be tied to a batch, scored 0 to 2.
• Endotoxin: graded only in one standard, where more than 40 EU per sample fails.

Each test is pass, fail or incomplete. Incomplete tests do not count. Newer results weigh more: a result's weight halves every 730.5 days. The natural rating is the weighted share of passing samples. The final rating, shown on leaderboards, pulls vendors with few tests toward the average for that peptide, so a single lucky pass does not put a vendor at the top.

What Finnrick showed for the vendors we cover

Overall ratings under Finnrick's default "Purity focus" view, copied from each vendor profile on Nov 6, 2026. Ratings move as new tests come in, so open the profile for the current figure.

For PSPeptides, Pure Health Peptides and Palmetto Peptides we tried the profile addresses Finnrick uses for other vendors and got no page. Finnrick shows only its top 20 vendors without signing in, so a profile may exist under a different name.

Strengths and limits

• Samples bought as normal orders are harder for a vendor to cherry-pick than samples it sends itself.
• The method is published, including how thin histories are adjusted.
• Many vendors have few or no tests, so the absence of a rating tells you little.
• The default view does not grade endotoxin or sterility.
• Original lab PDFs are behind a $9.99 per month membership.
